Hi all, i'm a new member so forgive me for repating a question that has been brought up a lot, but after a quick scan through the topics i dont think it really has.
I recently did an online application for a 25 hours a week, driving position in my local town called Petersfield in Hampshire. A few weeks later i got text asking for me to pick a date for an interview and document check, so all was good! I attended the interview on the 24th of July and he said that i would be told in a week about the position. I have been logging onto the "my applications" part of the royal mail website everyday, and it has just said "status: interview booked", even though i have already had it?! But today, after the 9th day it changed to "interview attended". Does it seem like i am doomed and not going to get the job? Would it seem to "needy" to phone or e mail them? Its just annoying when you get given a date, and the date was obviously wrong.

And if i was to contact them, would i use a local number or is there some sort of recruitment number? thanks

Is the application through Angard or Royal Mail. The Royal Mail website is used by both Angard and Royal Mail to recruit but they should be something indicating Angard/Royal Mail on the application area or you may have to look at the URL to check.
Probably a difference in the process of application but as it seems to be a certain job for a fixed number of hours it does not sound casual so probably not Angard.
They will need to undergo your secuirty checks before they can offer you any work which could take a few weeks - personally I would wait and start asking in say 3 weeks about any progress and for an indication of a possible start date.
As to who to call, not sure, it depends on if it is Angard or Royal Mail.

Through royal mail im pretty certain. Im no sure how many other people had an interview, but i think it went very well.

I am in the same boat. I had my interview on the 20/08/2012 and the gentleman said 1 week you will hear, we will telephone you if succesful if not then email. I have been logging in everyday and it changed to attended interview but I am wondering why has it been 3 weeks to the day and I havent heard a thing. Have you heard yet James?
