Re-sign advice - seniority giving way to part timers

It was certainly not to be used as a "get out clause" in offices that were blackmailed by the threat of headcount reduction or full-time position reduction

But,is there a possibility that the above 'could' happen if the office wants 1 in 4 or another duty set and not the 1 in 6?

Have you heard of any buydowns or VR's in delivery lately?
It's possible that some offices with a very high level of FT staff and no vacancies may see a small headcount or full-time reduction if they move to certain patterns like a 4 day week or a nine day fortnight but a bog standard move to 1 in 4 from 1 in 6 shouldn't make a great deal of difference to an office's overall hourage.
Managers love a scare story to get what they want and members and some reps are easy spooked.

My planner is refusing to be able to do option 1 ie full seniority repick

I said other offices do it

He said well show me how it works

Can any offices here show me how it works?

We have a lot of pt ers at half way and below in our 100 people seniority list and with his proposals at least 12 pt jobs set aside when a seniority repick would mean 4-5 of these would get a duty the rest would be reserves
