That's why we have posting pegs.
PDA's/Pens/Posting Pegs/Notice Lefts/Van Keys/Signing sheets for when the PDA inevitably runs out of power. When do we get a belt for all this shite?

Posting pegs bahahahahaha! I don't know ONE person who uses these things, seriously. If I used posting pegs on all my 'dog' houses you could add another 20 minutes to my daily hours.clashcityrocker wrote:If you've been told not to put your fingers through a letter box and/or if the frame has a dog warning card on it and the WRAP/Walk log is up to date then putting your fingers through the letter box isn't human error - it's plain dumb.

Unfortunately 'd2d's are your friend' did not follow proper procedure, any compo claim would be laughed at.
Manager has to authorise the claim by the looks of the form also.
It was a lapse in concentration,a 'possible' conduct issue, would be best to learn from it and move on.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Agree with this, get it escalated outside of your own DO, they will just do what they try and do with all problems, ignore it til it goes away.millitant wrote:fill out an LS3 and get it sent to tony ruppa at headquarters

So,he's got to fill out the compo form, which has to be counter signed by his manger, and probably by the same manager who has threatened him with the conduct code for not following proper procedure even though the said dog is known to the business as a hazzard by the walk log.
Does Ruupa do conduct cases as well?

have you filled out the green LS3 form from your rep for a claim
Yes ,manager went through Erica on office pc.
Haven't filled LS3 form. No loss in earnings.
Just the pain of a throbbing swollen finger all week.Probably scarring .Prescription, dressing cost ,transport cost to and from hospital and the total hassle and worry of getting a septic finger and having it chopped off.
Royal Mail have more or less covered their backs. We don't have use of the dog reminder cards where you throw in the frame and take them out on delivery.I feel that I would have a much healthier looking finger if we where using the cards at our office.

the action will be between simpson and miller and the house holder
the only imput from royal mail will be the repayment of any sick pay
forget the politics for a minute
this is a personal injury
also
do you not have the hazard card that updates the WRAP when out on your walk

Why didn't you use post it peg if you know there was a dangerous dog?
Thats what your gonna be asked my management....and you could find yourself on conduct for not using it.

Seriously Try and Claim,Exactly the same thing happened to a guy in our office about 5 years ago.
Not sure if things have changed with claims like this but he claimed with the help of the union and the home owners insurance firm paid him £3,200.

When you went off to the hospital - what happened to the mail?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

I asked the hospital doctor about how long the swelling would remain because RM were pressurising me to get back to work ,he wrote me a sick note for a week and stated there's no way I could work with my injury.

Re: Any Compensation for Dog Bites Through Letterbox?
The dog owner was not in but a joiner who was working on an house opposite gave me first aid and let me wash the wound(many thanks). It had stopped bleeding so decided to walk back to the SPDO where I dropped off carded packets and rest of the mail I had in my trolley. There was also two bags left in pouch box which I told the manager about .Apparently somebody on overtime finished off the delivery.clashcityrocker wrote:When you went off to the hospital - what happened to the mail?
