Intro and a Q.

Hi posties and postie supporters

Wishing you all the best in your ongoing dispute! We've been down the picket lines over the last few months + supporting you in other ways at work or on the streets.

I work for the NHS and wish we were joining you in the fight against paycuts.

The massive success of this site has inspired the setting up of a web forum for employees of the National Blood Service (and friends). So I was hoping the masterminds behind this message board could give us some tips on how you publicised it to achieve the great amount of posters and visitors currently coming on to chat.

The NBS is threatened with many lab closures and redundancies, and also has a chance of beating the proposals... but morale, fighting spirit and unity is rockbottom.

Solidarity! Go on the posties! :cfo

postman this is really for you to answer but for me i accidently found another postie site ages ago and looked at it every now and again, there was a add on there for this site which at the time had about 10 members that number has risen rapidly due to some very good posters with an in depth knowledge of rm,plus a bit of humour, and of course word of mouth, the ability to say what you think with reduced chances of been dragged into the office is a great boon for any site, postman also sent flyers to many of the larger offices to get people on board,of course the troubles that rm face at the moment has helped to boost interest there is nothing like adversity to increase interest

Thanks for that Rocky and Johnny, and thanks to jock and Belial for posting in the BSC forum.

I really struggle at work to get the kind of sussed and united word-of-mouth attitude that the posties have. We are up to our necks in adversity at the Blood Service, but everyone wants to keep their head down. The workforce is a loyal and long-serving one, sadly the directors' efforts to slash technicians' jobs is being made easier by short-sighted and greedy people thinking about themselves and their possible lump sum.

Everyone wants to support us but ourselves. :arrrghhh We need to follow the postal workers recipe of solidarity and communication. That is how to win.
Some days I am frustrated with my colleagues but I will not stop trying!
I hope to come back in the future representing an equally sized message board...

cheers again and all the best. Up the posties! :coolr

Indymedia is a great resource. I've had a few articles posted on the Liverpool site about school closures, hospital ward closures and other stuff in the past. Thanks for your support comrade.

Hi,welcome to the wonderful WWW :d'oh!
I'll PM you some bits and bobs.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
