Royal Mail 'sorry' for delivery errors‎:Bradford

A Bradford teacher has received an apology from Royal Mail after confidential letters addressed to his family were continually misdelivered.

Yaser Ahmed, 31, of Hazelhurst Road, Daisy Hill, says bank statements and letters from his doctor were among dozens of items of post delivered incorrectly during the past year.

His mail, often opened, has been brought to him by residents living in surrounding streets and Mr Ahmed has also received post belonging to other people. At one stage, the father-of-three arranged to pick his post up from the Royal Mail’s sorting office at Forster Square, but after asking for it to be delivered to his home once more, the problems started again.

Mr Ahmed, who has contacted Royal Mail several times about the issue, said: “We have received letters a week or two weeks later than expected. Someone will just come at random and post them through the letter box.

“My mother has diabetes and she’s missed check-ups because the mail has not been delivered.

“We would just like a normal, reliable service. At the moment I am not getting that. I receive letters that have been posted first class a week after they have been sent. I have been having to ask people to send things recorded delivery. I don’t trust the post. It’s caused a lot of stress.”

Royal Mail spokesman Morag Turnbull said: “We sincerely apologise for the misdelivery issues experienced and the inconvenience caused to the customer. This was down to human error and we have now put measures in place to ensure that it does not happen again.

“Royal Mail delivers 59 million items to nearly 29 million addresses across the UK six days a week and if any customers have concerns about their mail service, we want to hear from them. They should contact Royal Mail Customer Services on 08457 740740.”
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
