I heard that all is not well with Medway. Don't know if it is teething problems or full blown tooth ache.

[RUMOUR]Apparently, this purpose built, state of the art, brand new Mail Centre is too small for all the machines they want to put in it. I don't know how accurate this rumour is, but having worked with RM for a few years,I wouldn't be surprised.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Interesting that's how i would say it is coping, according to the managers here it is going fantastic, that should give you a clue,go ask how delivery offices are getting their mail, that would give you a whole new slant.

Some nights we get a couple of yorks of CSS mail from Medway, some nights we get none (we still get the bulk of our mail from Tonbridge). They do like to overload yorks (I seen one york with 28 trays on it, complaints just get ignored), load yorks up with half the trays facing the wrong way, and their favourite, having 2/3 trays for the same batch, on the same york with a half dozen letters in each tray. Just silly, petty things, but they give the impression of incompetence.

It is as if they have tried to amalgamate all the different methods used and discarded any that actually worked.

28 trays in a york is fine as long as it is not overweight. You probably get multiple part filled trays for the same batch because they are running the batch sorting plan on multiple machines.

The segregation of mail from Medway is absolutely atrocious, we have more mis-sorts coming into our office than ever before,Quality what quality, over loaded yorks, can't wait until they sort it out,fed up to the back teeth with.

Chaos at my office due to the Medway MC, late Specials, missorts galore. Rumour going round that Tonbridge MC is on hold for the move due to lack of space at Medway. Thats what happens when staff don't get consulted and management ride rough shod over everything.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

We have mis-sorts coming out of our collective ears due to medway, you get an email sent to find out if there are any problems, you hit a stone wall no answer, nobody is interested, the special turn up when they feel like it along with the mail, the service is not to hot,no room and the staff are bullied, dreadful.

Well, if you believe the video in our WTL&L session last night - everything is bright and rosy at Medway MC....... :pray
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

Why don't they ask delivery offices if any of there staff want to transfer down to the medway?.
