Re: Draft copy of new sick leave proposal
The long term absence part is a fooking joke..it's a mandate for an employee to be bullied back to work, not to mention the bit about people on The Equality Act namely this bit.....When the employee is likely to be considered disabled under the Equality Act 2010 reasonable adjustments will be considered to continue in their role......well firstly it's feckin law that they should be allowed to continue in their role
.
Code Of Practise:
6.31
If an employer does not comply with the duty to make reasonable
adjustments they will be committing an act of unlawful discrimination.
A disabled worker will have the right to take a claim to the Employment
Tribunal based on this.
And secondly what the feck is will be considered having had quite a battle and also know of many other people both in my own office and elsewhere this bit concerns me no end...managers are terrible in getting them to abide by the Equality Act but with ambiguous statements like will be considered usually in Royal Mail land means feck off.

Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.
