A POST office damaged when the newsagent next door burnt to the ground has reopened.
Royal Mail confirmed Brixham post office is open for business on Fore Street following a six-week closure for repairs.
The post office is next door to Harbour News, which was destroyed in a blaze in May, and the branch was forced to close for urgent repairs and the replacement of smoke-damaged furnishings.
Colin Pound, a spokesman for the Royal Mail, said: "We are pleased the branch has been re-opened so quickly, and that no one was injured in the fire itself.
"I would like to thank our customers for their patience during this period of temporary closure, and am grateful to staff at nearby branches for taking on the additional workload during this time.
"Customers will find the facilities at this branch, including the range of services, opening hours and access are the same as before the temporary closure and staff at the branch look forward to welcoming everyone back."
