I,m off at the minute and have been since April with Plantar fasciitis , I,ve had the usual 10 minute phone consultation with Atos at the start of my absence, reccomended Phsyio which I have been attending along with the hospital treatment from my GP, I,ve been today to have casts made of my feet so as to have inserts made which will take another month to be made.
Now to my main point, work contacted me today bearing in mind our DOM is off till Monday and this stand in bloke wants to see me tomorrow to discuss me coming back to work,he mentioned about a 6 week plan when I should be back to full duty.
Two men in my office where contacted today who are on light duties fully compliant through Atoss and told if they could not perform their full duty not to turn into work tommorrow!
They will then incure another stage warning I presume but I would not be suprised if they are on the gate in the morning.
Has anyone heard of this 6 week plan, regardless of your condition or what Atoss say after 6 weeks on rehab if your are not ready or fit enough to go on your full walk you will have to go back on the sick.

yes ive heard of it but it cannot be enforced just a royal mail bully tactic to try and rush you back onto full dutys tryed it with me and a few others in our office but we are hardcore and did not fall for it some in ours been on light dutys now for over a year while the get better or wating for a opp

Your screw is not a doctor,stand your ground and tell them to f**k off,ATOS requirements are already in place.
He is playing a dangerous game if he forces your guys to come into work and their problem worsens.
Get your area rep on the case.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

With all due respect I think you have got the wrong end of the stick, what they are saying is if your atos rehab plan is over six weeks long RM cannot accomodate you and they are being sent home untill they are fit to return to full duty, I went in today and told them I am putting another note in because I am not fit to return on full duty.
Makes no sense this two lads on rehab willing to work being sent home on full pay I think theres a hidden agenda, when you consider this company is one of the biggest employers in this country they have some seriously strange policies.

so where is this in the attendance procedure then 
...it doesn't exist....unless it's the new so called brilliant new one that no fecker in the union or Royal Mail is willing to expand on ... despite being promised for ages.

tell atos you want a face to face, be careful what info you give, then when you get an atos face to face, they usually agree with the dr and you dont have to do any light duties.
if you are off 6 months you may have an assessment by atos who might recommend ill health retirement.

Well i,ve been told now that because i am on a rehab back to work plan I cannot go back to work unless I am fully fit to return to duty,Its been taken out of my DOM's hands he wants me back as much as I want to go back, surely this is not right or legal,Atos have put a plan to get me back but a certain person is taking it upon himself to completly ignore this.!

Thats exactly my point!, im supposed to be on a rehab plan but our DOM's boss is stopping anyone on a rehab plan coming into work until they are fit enough to do a full duty, it seems he's taking the law into his own hands and bypassing any Atos reccomendations .

I got a fit note from my doc stating what I can and cannot do, so instead of doing my delivery I did indoors work like prep d -ds etc.
