Sainsbury’s has been told to consider the Royal Mail depot on Cambridge Street in Aylesbury as an alternative to its Buckingham Street store.
Aylesbury Town Council has sent a letter to the supermarket giant urging it to clean up its Buckingham Street site in town, and to push on with plans to expand the store.
Planning chairman at the council, Steven Mitchell, said: “The letter states that we want Sainsbury’s to tidy up the fence they’ve put up, for example, and the fact that the area needs weeding.
“We’ve also suggested that they look at the Royal Mail depot as a possible destination, as it’s a big enough site, and there would also be room for a petrol station on that site, which would keep everyone happy.”
The town council will also be writing to the Royal Mail.

According to that report: The sorting office currently presents a poor aspect to the Inner Ring Road and the site could benefit from redevelopment.glenfiddich wrote:dunno but this paper explains more
