in the morning everybody is chucking up /throwing up.

later when the i.p.s is done they clear down /have a pull
then they empty their sacks (packets that is). :wink:

what do you mean tie down is that inluding your redis , packets , specials , enquiries , killing off mail and putting the mail into the bags?

or just 30 misn to grab the mail from the frame and into the bags.

at our office we get 20 mins to do everying i just mentioned 2 have resigned.

i'm talking everything, re-directions, packets, dead letters, weighing your bags, the whole nine yards!!!! how long is resonable?????

sort out your packets...throw out the particularly large ones.. get abuse from packet man... do redirections... sign for your specials...
load van /trolley /cycle... inform manager of possibility of going over(avoids manager challenging necessary overtime next day)... have pee...

dont forget.. bag weigh , box keys, notice left cards, pda! high viz ,bike/ van /trolley check.
wet gear, sun cream, plenty to drink,...............sweep the floor on the way out.

30 minutes is fine but you will have to skip some of the above :shock:

It takes me about 10 mins to tie up but then I have a van so im just chucking it into trays. It tends to take a bit longer for a town delivery as you have to put a bit more thought into organising everything properly rather that just throw it all in the back of the van :Very Happy

according to our duty builder every round in our office gets 20mins for this and we were told by managment that that's what every office everywhere gets in the duty builder. so i guess if it takes you 10mins or 40mins all the time the duty is planned for is 20mins.

It takes as long as it takes,I'm quite happy for a lino to show me where I could be more effecient.But they never have because most of them are failed postmen.
