POSTAL deliveries have resumed on an Elgin street, despite ongoing concerns over swooping seagulls which have been blamed for attacking posties.
The Royal Mail has said it is continuing to monitor the situation on the affected section of Muirfield Road, but confirmed its delivery people have returned this week.
Spokesperson Jennifer Bird said yesterday: "Deliveries recommenced on Monday, July 2, and we continue to assess the situation daily."
Residents had been left without postal deliveries for a week, and were instead asked to pick up their mail in person from the Post Office’s collection office on Elgin High Street, after the Royal Mail suspended deliveries due to what it described as "swooping attacks" by nesting gulls.
But with a number of elderly and housebound residents on the street, some were unable to make the trip to collect their letters and parcels.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
