If you have an issue in the workplace, your first port of call is talk to the manager. If the manager fobs you off, or the situation isn't resolved to your satisfaction, then you go and have a quiet word with the rep about it.

The way I interpreted what zx135 was saying is that it was the reps job to manage, it isn't. The rep is there to resolve issues that happen between management and members (I am generalising a lot here), be it through negotiation or throwing a previous agreement in their face.

If the driver is throwing the dummy out of the pram because he doesn't want to take them, you have a quiet chat with them, if they still won't, go and speak with the manager, if the manager insists you take them, go and speak to the local rep who will go and speak to the manager and driver and try and find a solution. If that fails, the local rep will either advise you on what you should do, or contact the area rep to see if it is a common problem, for advise, and to maybe highlight to the DSM.

Does the weight issue of a single parcel still stand if using LWT's ?
In other words are we not supposed to deliver them if we are using trolleys? there is no weight on your shoulder?
I'm asking because we've been delivering them and i as the Rep feel i've missed something if we're not supposed to!!

No.
As long as the overall max weight of the trolley is not exceeded it isn't an issue.
If it is there is always the option of using the van to deliver them which to be honest is what i've been doing anyway.....i like to keep my trolley as light as possible.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Not great advice to be honest as these are all RM and not DSA. :hmmmm

I think we have only just won the contract back.

You should have asked them for a copy of the new agreement, and ask the area rep for a copy of the ltb agreeing it

well some think that information should be controlled - this forum makes that a little bit difficult.

If all agreements were freely available and adhered to, then there would be no need to have a "Downloads" section on this site.
The fact they make it up as they go along and rarely stick to any agreement they don't like makes life much harder than it needs to be.
And "the devil's work"? :left:
