when do i get mgv money

I am writing to ask for some advice. I signed for a temporey 600 duty which belonged to a union rep but I had it for only about 6 0r 7 monthsbecause the rep took evr so I had to go back into processing where I came from. Am I entiled to the MGV for 3 years as I lost the duty not through my own occord. But now I get asked on a number of ocassions and also I get asked to perform a duty of 600 for the whole week. Should I be getting MGV wages every time I drive the 600 on a daily basis or a weekly basis, because I have been doing this for the last 3 years and I have not been paid MGV wages.

you should get substitution from opg grade to mgv grade whenever you do a mgv duty. and if you do 15 drives in the 26 week reference period you should go on the mgv grade for 26 weeks. but its hard to argue with the intransigence from some managers over this issue. its an on going issue here.

Hiya Darren I'd check first with your union rep or if it's very hazy go straight to Tony Pullinger's dept at CWU HQ for clarification on this if you do 15+ daily drives you come under the MGV regulations but not neccessary the money asa right.

Darren you need to do the duty for a continuous 12 month period to be able to keep the grade.

If they fanny you about, you can "forget" the tacho card or "mislaid" until you actually get paid the MGV grade.
