mark them miss-sort, date time, and name...?

i've not had it mentioned yet, but the boss doesnt like having mail brought back, so i know other people go out and re-deliver it if i cant.
i normally deliver it, so normally dont have anything when i get back, but its a bit of a sting when i got one in the last bag for first part of the walk... i will always re-deliver packets though. in my car.

sometimes i'll try and hide it under my pouch under my bench, but stopped doing that, because i think i'll get caught. But no-one has explained to me what to do with them. And it does happen.
no-one else seems to come back with mail.

:arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh
yeah i know...

Reintroducing mail back into the pipeline is potentially a sackable offence.
I think it specifically mentions it in the Security Book.
Don't tell me:
None of you have ever seen the Security Book (it may have different names in different locations) and you've never signed it.
Oh man Ive reintroduced so much unendorsed mail back into the pipeline that the pipeline must be close to bursting now!

From random missorts to houses I couldnt find on a new walk. Just stuck it back into a postbox and thought nothing of it! Gonna be a lot more careful now though.

What do you do with the ones that go undelivered due to there being nobody home?

Something that really annoys me: I flick through the letters at the door and find one for somewhere else, another duty in my office. I take it back and (maybe next day) see the person who's duty it is, 'Oh - thats a redirection', or 'its the daughter, she's gone away so her mail goes to the mothers house'.

How, exactly, am I supposed to know that? No sticker on the letter, no writing, not even a house number.

Sometimes I get them during prep, and will put it in the correct duty box, only to see it again later... so back it goes.

is this a new practice, or are they back checking all postmen, when they come back to the office, what has happened to the once great royal mail, former postmen who got away with murder, are now so picky, its really pathetic.

Not long ago there was a 'post person'/new starter who was always first out and always got done early...little did we know this person never prepped or delivered any mail for several months, just posted whole bundles of mail back into RM's pipeline...
i am sure managers must have known about this, but nothing happened to this person for months until finally they got sacked...i remember i used to see this person on my round at the time going home each day (9.45 am) at about the time i started my round...i couldn't figure how this person did it..until one day i got to a pillar box and seen letters bulging out of it..lol...like i said this person did this for months and got away with it..so why worry about posting a single letter or two which you have endorsed correctly i hope...
