''Dear Billy and Dave, Please do not even consider tabling proposals that are in any shape or form like the rejected agreement. There is a lot of anger about the rejected agreement and if the cwu come back with anything like it i would suggest it would be rejected by the membership. We all know Royal Mail have put forward their worse proposals and hope that you come back and accept most of them. They ask for counter proposals, how can you come up with proposals? You could just end up doing managements' job for them.
There is also the matter of the clock ticking on the 28 days and if we are not carefull we will have to have a re-ballot. Stand firm.''

fair post steve but it has been made clear that we will not have to reballot! our ballot is live and will remain so until the dispute is settled

I hope you are right, i just thought now that the period of calm is over that the clock starts ticking again. If i am right then perhaps its a bluff by Rm to force a re-ballot.
Any way regardless i still suggest that we e-mail all the union officers on our thoughts regarding the current position and suggest our 'way forward'!

I did the same a while ago. I did get a reply eventually. :arrrghhh  But is was from someone else, replying on his behalf. And was fobbed off anyway. :d'oh! :mad

Still, the more of us that Email them, the greater the chances of getting a useful response. After all. Individuals can be ignored, but a concerted Email campaign is much harder to brush under the carpet! :hmmmm

I sent an e mail last week in response to an e mail from them.

The email simply asked the question what was going to be done about the early starts - I received a stock reply pointing me in the direction of an LTB - I thanked the sender and replied that the LTB didn't explain what the unions position on early starts was.

The next e mail asked for my union number or home address - now why on earth would they need that? Unless of course they have a "circle of unfriends" list. Needless to say I won't be e mailing them - I think they go straight in their Spam box.
