We have not had a revision yet, but never out before 10am at xmas time usually 11.30, so not looking forward to the revision may get out before noon

When revisions kick in there will be a lot of unhappy customers. It's always suprising when you're covering a round, do it a different way to the normal person and people come and tell you how nice it is to have the post "early in the day". There will be a lot unhappy people when they start getting mid afternoon

Another craking day. Again nice and hot but not tooooo hot. Dead light mail and very few packets. No running, no cutting corners, no starting early.

Nice 1 guys, but this fish tank has got loaches and tetras and even some rainbow fish, but I don't think these play cards, at least not when I'm there they don't.

Back in today and another hot 1. Mail was okish, hoping tomorrow is a good 1.

As we are on fish stories. (Sorry bit long this one)

Last night just before bed at 9.45pm I went out in the garden to feed the fish in my 2 ponds. The lower pond is a wooden wishing well affair and contains 6 gold fish which the kids got bored with and have bred over the years.

The second pond contains the overflow bred goldfish and 2 mirror carp which I bought 6 years ago when they were an inch long. They are now about 9 inches long and 4” deep. Lovely fish (pride and joy etc) with clear markings and never had any disease.

So I approach the pond and laying on the grass next to it is one of my beloved carp ! , Just laying there but still alive and gasping. I took a couple of seconds to sink in, real shock.

I then quickly washed the fish down with cold water and picked him up to examine. I was expecting the worse but to my surprise he was not damaged in any way. I quickly got him back in the water where he was very stressed but was able to swim on his own.

I have tough Heron proof nylon nets on both ponds but the net had been pulled up and one of the pipes to the filters ripped off in the struggle.

Sadly I could not see the second carp in the pond, or around the garden and i concluded that it must have been caught first and taken away to be eaten. Quite pissed about that.

Day off today so up early (as normal) and check surviving fish and he seemed ok. No sign of my other carp but i spent time looking anyway, false hope etc

Later I decided to give the pond a bit of a clean as the blanket weed is getting a bit too long. Suddenly I saw two carp at the bottom so I had not lost a fish after all. Great moment.

Still not sure what hooked the fish out, maybe a cat. Fixed the net much more secure now.

Could be an urban fox although it was still light and the pond is close to the house. Someone said a squirrel as they eat fish, never knew that though

I have heard that poor water quality can make fish jump from the pond themselves in a kind of last ditch survival move but i doubt it would be able to lift the net first.

Everyone was leaving as i arrived this morning, no note on the frame as to what d2d needed doing and more importantly NO KEYS AGAIN. The driver had left within 10 minutes of me starting. Had to wait ages for him to arrive at my 1st pick up point with the bags and lend me his keys, took them back to the office after i finished.

Just got back on time, despite not getting the usual lift down to the walk. Didn't know anything about it so fixed up the wrong way and ended up improvising as I went.

The last two days have been ridiculous, the lightest days for months. One sequenced box on Monday and not even a full one on Tuesday. Monday we had 5 doors to knock on for the both deliveries put together. It's probably going to be really busy today but as it's my day off I don't care.
