If someone has a lot more d2ds than the person next to them, then chances are they have an opportunity for some overtime if they want it or they can, of course, cut off. If they can do the lot in their time then that is your job.

If the other person finishes early, lack of d2ds or whatever, they won't be doing very soon.
In the past.....
That is the only way you can look at it.
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

we were talking about this in the office yesterday and it really is ridiculous to expect us to prep and deliver the D2D's in three days but what can we do? They really should have suspended them for one week.

They won't tho because it's money at the end of the day. If anything companies sending out the D2D's want them out on that week to highlight the special offers they have for potential customers.

As others have said, claim OT or cut off...I really can't see the problem tbh. Idiots on here are still thinking in the past and seeing it as work that has to be done :arrrghhh. Yes it's an increased workload which takes more time but that means two very simple things, claim overtime or cut off.

One more time cos people still don't get it...

CLAIM OVERTIME OR CUT OFF!!!!!

Quoted for truth. If you've had a P&L revision and prepping your D2D is the difference between finishing on time and running over, then grow a pair and cut off. Constantly. Soon management will have them prepped for you and come the re-revision (planners get it right first time ;liar ) they'll redistribute workload to colleagues who are flying out the door an hour early :dance
The machine stops.

couldn't agree more, I'm still new in the job and it is the one aspect I really detest (who doesn't though) wouldn't mind so much if we got better money for doing them. I shall just get on with it next week, heaps came in today so expecting four or five. On a good note I got all mine prepped for the rest of the week today as finished me round early! And we have three days off so will worry about the D2D's next Wednesday when I return to work... actually I won't worry at all lol!

If the volume of mail that he had today genuinely meant that he was able to finish his duty within his contracted hours, even with taking a meal relief and doing the job properly, what else was he supposed to do?
Should he pretend his duty took longer than it did?
Should they have lapsed another duty?
He has worked his contracted hours.
How is that stupid?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
