I have walked to my office 2 miles away in all weather for 25 years.We can afford to strike as we are on fantastic wages I think not.

Why cant they just leave this privelige in ? theyve taken away most or all of our perks ffs ! I think thered be more sick absence,sickies etc if it was taken away,and theres another £20 out of our wage on public transport . Cannot understand why people attack each other on here,,divide and conquer the bosses love it ,btw moya thatcher yer lovely!

I live near a MC and have to pass loads of their staff going in cos I work at a DO that has recently moved 3 miles away. I got the £150 booby prize but a bus pass costs me a tenner a week so that's soon to be used up.
The only minibus I have seen is the collection lads at 2pm coming from the MC to nick our new shiny vans! If you can't get to work by your own means then tough , you've got 2 legs so walk , take a bus or bum a lift!

Royal Mail removed .............. without consultation.

So whats everyones line, it obviously not lifts in.

What if RM removed ------ Delivery Supplement, would there be an outcry or would anyone who has said "we don't get why should they" just shrug their shoulders, accept it and move on.

Or is closing the Canteen, removing paid breaks, payments for election material, are they your lines in the sand.

I think the OP was on a wind up, and I think that the chances of a strike are low - but for people to accept Royal Mail removing a perk, without consultation, just because they don't get it themselves, is both selfish and shortsighted. RM will be happy the last few years of divide and conquer, and briefing against posties, certainly seems to have borne fruit in this thread.
