Not a wise move......just my opinion,the rolling strikes of different functions out on seperate days was a good weapon,the staff only lost one days pay per week,the above days IA,if correct would see two days pay being lost per week,some posties budget just can not swallow two days loss of pay,i can see a possible big split starting to appear in the workforce.Me personally i can cope for now as my outgoings are minimal compared to some of my collegues.

Also another question is......how do we keep the casuals out on strike days?

we dont have casuals its all out in our office

OUR NEW CASUALS ARE LOVELY GUYS, BUT IF THEY WORKED ON STRIKE DAYS IT WOULD SCREW UP THE SYSTEM EVEN MORE!!!!

Perhaps the all out initially will go some way to recreating the effect of the suspended action. A lesson learnt I hope ,albeit an expensive one

Just been speaking to a few fellow posties from our area and they can't afford to strike like that no matter what the future is for them. I feel that this will be mirrored in many offices and once RM get plenty crossing the picket line, the union will have lost any battle they are trying to fight.

think that they will be looking to cause as much of a backlog as possible before they start the rolling strikes for the pressure period so well done on the timingi am up for the fight hope all you lot are aswell this is a fight to save our jobs as we know them if we loose then i am out of here no way i ll be taking what amounts to about Â£3000 pay cut per year time we loose shift allowance door2door and ot payments plus no chance of ever seeinng a bounus again while the fat cats get top dollars for our graft

if the srikes had continued they would have lost even more

Can't afford to strike for a future ?..................... So, they'll play their part in trying to destroy all resistance to Leighton & Crozier's potty plans, thereby
ensuring a piss poor future, not only for themselves, but for every postal worker?

I think that this is a good move

Although I don't want to lose 2 days pay, I WILL DO IT to save our JOB's

Also, the psychological effect upon RM of 5 days without deliveries , then the rolling strikes......The PUBLIC + POLITICIANS WILL WANT TO KNOW WHY ?

And thats when the CWU can step in and INFORM them what THEY & posties are going to lose

Also the gap in the anouncement and the actual action will help CONCENTRATE RM's MIND....and put the spotlight on THEM !

They can either negotiate.....OR SUFFER

Make no mistake.....If we strike we will lose some pay (short term loss )>>>IF WE DON'T STRIKE, WE LOSE 27% OF OUR JOBS / OUR TERMS & CONDITIONS / OUR PENSIONS / OUR RIGHT TO A DECENT WORK - LIFE BALANCE !

If we lose... RM will bring in anything & everything that they want !
