Time allowed for TPM on ILSM

Post by haob »

I believe I remember being told that TPM should take 3 operators 20 minutes to complete the 'daily' and 'altenate days' tasks. The National Sortation Automation Deployment document here http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 36&t=26899 specifies the tasks but not the time allowed to complete them.

TPM is a bit haphazard on my understaffed shift, with there often being only one or two operators completing it and sometimes with an attempt by managers to impose arbritary time limits. Today I was asked by a manager to complete TPM, by myself, in 20 minutes and told him no chance; but it'd be nice be able to quote an agreement for when this next happens.

It's 30 mins per day per operator.

You should have a TPM schedule for the machine that you have to sign off (unless you have WCM in then a poster no one looks at). On it should be the ACS values, which is basically how long it should take you to carry out any specific task in minutes. Add them up and you have your answer.

Thanks for the info, it looks like my MC has been scrimping on TPM time.

TPM schedule - never seen one at my place nor been asked to sign anything.

We have WCM but I haven't seen any posters about TPM anything with ACS values on. What does ACS stand for by the way?
