Re: World Class Mail
I have been asked to post this snippet:
ABMC had a WCM audit on Monday, and attained a grand total of 6 points, they were hoping for around 20.
One of the pillar leads was told, mid presentation, that he would not be getting any points for his pillar.
What probably didn't help was one of the reps, after being told he wasn't allowed to clean the machine he was working on that day, stood in a prominent place, near the auditors, leaning on a yorkie and playing with his phone for around 10mins.

Re: World Class Mail
The workload calculation for moving yorks is one at a time .... 1 journey laden and the return journey unladen. In theory it should protect jobs but the planning team at HCN overlooked such tasks as trucking and did not create any portering duties as they were far too busy stopping staff from using mobile phones and printing out coloured graphs.craigyboy4677 wrote:its so world class your not allowed to move two yorks at a time f***ing joke, how to make a job take twice as long!!!

All we ever did was put 5 ticks in a book in the morning and five ticks in it at night,
That was it, nice little earner for DR Yamamoto or whatever his name is.
What was the original idea behind world class mail, what was the original plan?
Was it supposed to be a good thing?

Re: World Class Mail
Everyone at Medway MC will be expected to join one of the ten pillar groups, no matter how small their involvement. This contradicts what people were told at their inductions.
East Germany anybody?

People in our office are doing WCM so they can get off their normal shift for better start and finishing times, additionally wear their Levis and Ben Shermans to work.

Now where have I heard that before Ex at other places they steer clear of the Ben Sherman's. Its a ruse ... another way to divide the workforce and be benevolent to the favoured few whilst appearing to be inclusive.Red Robbo wrote:People in our office are doing WCM so they can get off their normal shift for better start and finishing times, additionally wear their Levis and Ben Shermans to work.

I don't know if you work at Medway MC, chimps tea party, but there have been one or two grumbles already about the way certain management are treating people and less then world class practices.Chimps_tea_party wrote:Everyone at Medway MC will be expected to join one of the ten pillar groups, no matter how small their involvement. I wonder if expecting people to join one of the pillar groups will allow people to post their grievances or issues or will they have to be the yes people and have to tow the line. I think we were also told how it would be a fairer and more open regime. Doesn't seem to be working!

Re: World Class Mail
Seems to be a lot about getting people to work to impractical deadlines or colouring in charts etc, without a lot of thought and nous and noddle by the management involved!
