Busy. Complete waste of time having Bank Holidays and then getting hammered either side of them. Would rather work them and get a credit on my holidays tbh.

So today was Day 1 of Operation delivering pretty much everything that isn't nailed down. 16 bags of mail, packets, parcels, specials and tracked all in a combi. Needless to say the only way we managed to make it all fit in was to sling the golf carts. Weight off the back and all :dance

Absolutely hammered. Yesterday was so easy. Today was a totally different story. To top it all, 2 and in some cases 3 boxes came to the frames just before break. They didn't have time to sequence them so they were walk sorted instead. Late finish = unhappy DOM in the morning = 1 laughing postman. :left: :chuckle

Somewhat easier than yesterday. Got back 45 mins earlier having left the office over half an hour earlier. About average for Fridays. Cannot understand how things can be so different one day to the next. Plenty of banter in the office today with the final day of the football season at the weekend. Off for the weekend so will miss the fun and games on Monday when one half of the office will be much happier than the other. Ah well, heres hoping it will be Blue Moon! :chuckle

This is the result of a wet bank holiday :arrrghhh

Booked 50 mins over
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Started on time, finished on time. It's been a week of that. My total workload this week has been 25 hours. Which shows what can be done with a supposedly easy walk, doing the job to standard. Only 2 d2ds as well - 6 would have been a nightmare. Let me tell you about the duty holder though. He's a nice bloke, in his late thirties. Good to get on with. A hard-worker and a family man. However. He comes in twenty minutes early, uses his own car, preps his d2ds at home. And still only just finishes 'on-time' on heavier days. No disrespect to the guy but I DO NOT GET IT.

Could have been a great, screwed up by the driver, again. Forgot to put the second bag in a box for which there's always two bags. Cue 15 minutes of furious heel-kicking.

Got back to the office to find 5 D2Ds for next week - a record for our section :nana Took the best part of 40 minutes just to put 300 together. Think a few extra back exercises are in order :Very Happy

Was thinking there was 2 managers on and 2 in the locker and there must have been more early finishers then me why didnt they go out?.

Fantastic day watching the football and having a few beers. And for once the result went our way.
