A fed up resident has resorted to putting a sign on her front door to lambast her postman because she keeps receiving mail for a neighbouring street.
Jacqueline Porter, 36, of Long Acre in Clayton Brook, near Preston, has been getting post for a property which is the same number but on Seven Acres.
She said: “I’ve had problems recently with receiving mail for the same number house as mine but the wrong road.
“It’s got to the point where I’ve had to put a notice on my door telling the postman which road he’s on.”
And this week Jacqueline found unopened mail under bushes near her flat.
They were for three addresses on her road.
Call centre worker Jacqueline said problems with the service had been on and off for the past five years.
She said: “I’ve complained to Royal Mail several times . . . only for it all to continue.
“I just want to have a normal service and not receive somebody else’s post, I’m fed up of doing their job for them and taking it round.”
Royal Mail spokesman Nick Martens said: “We are always concerned to hear of any complaints regarding our services and have an extremely fair and efficient process for handling these.”
