Royal Mail's Milford Haven delivery office to close next month

Royal Mail has confirmed that its Milford Haven delivery office is to relocate to Haverfordwest on June 11th.

The Robert Street office will close as part of its ongoing modernisation across the country, which Royal Mail said was in response to "declining mail volumes and increasingly tough trading conditions."

The company said that there would be no compulsory redundancies and staff would be reimbursed for extra mileage incurred by the changes.

Royal Mail’s Delivery Sector Manager, Darren Gregory, said: "We have been talking to our people about the move, as we must modernise our operations. The relocation of Milford Haven is part of this and will allow us to place the business on a sound, secure and stable footing.

"Our service to customers will continue to be a top priority during these changes. Customers can be reassured that we will do all we can to minimise disruption and ensure we maintain the high level of service they expect and deserve from Royal Mail."

Customers who miss a delivery will be able to collect their items from Milford Haven Post Office on Charles Street.
