P&L is well under way in our office and what is noticeable on change is that there is no time at all spare from going into work and leaving work, the atmosphere has gone from a good atmosphere to a bad atmosphere, WTL each week is one in which you sign a paper after an instruction affectively owning up to be disciplined or sacked, D2D has increased and in general like we all know the job is pants
NO bags on shoulders please except for Moya who keeps her big fat wage packet in hers

Been doing P/L nine months now and still not working.
Manager has been giving us grief all week because we cut off most days, watching us throw off etc.
Problem is we start at the proper time and have a meal relief and then cut off because the round is too long.
DOM keeps saying the two that work on our day off can do it but we say we dont come in an hour early unpaid and we dont go out without a meal relief.
Wants us to have meal relief put on the end and book 40 mins O/T but we have refused.
Nodody wants to do our docket for less than 3 hours so they are getting arsey .
Tough sh*t they made the rules

Revision came in last October and its failing. Fools still coming in early, some still going out in their own cars. Still runners delivering with a bag and not using their trollies. Bullying by managers at an all time high. I stand up for myself so they tend to leave me alone. DOM says we have to take half our break on completion of IPS and the rest whilst out on delivery. Lapsing has made an unwelcome return. I really do work with a bunch of fools who cant see the damage they are doing.

After a D&M revision the use of cars is verboten. Its in the agreement, bring it to the attention of your rep, if he's at it as well, go higher - not that I think it will change anything but you could try an email to HQ, who will pass it back to branch and so on - just like a roundabout.

Just you wait and see!

Within the first few months the majority of our office were coming in early and now they go over for no OT.
I just cannot believe this.

Why would they work over their time for free. Coming in early to finish early i get, but not working past your finish.

Management bullying/peer pressure/lack of confidence/insecurity/economic climate/temporary contract or just dumb as a box of rocks.

It is so sad that people give in to bullying/pressure/economics etc... and allow their rights to be infringed upon.

I always say that a working contract is the difference between freedom and serfdom. That little grey area where you or they are breaking your contract is the battleground before slavery begins, it is as simple as that. This is why it is so important to stand up for every minute and every working right we have.

 Me ----- ----- DOM <---a very loooong staring contest :dance

How I laugh at the Muppets who come in early, getting themselves stressed, they moan the most when given more work, their skulls are too thick to know that ultimately its self defeating,

We've had P&L ages and if you finish early you go home. Already had the meeting for this years budget with the DOM and no extra will be going on the walks, but there will be 2 walks collapsed for 10 weeks through the summer (happens every year).

I guess some people will say 'work to your time and you wont have to collapse' - well i'd rather do an extra 20 mins work for 10 weeks a year and still go home early most days than drag my feet around to time.

I guess it depends what your DOM/managers are like as to whether you work your full day or not after P&L. It's not the horror some people seem to think, I actually prefer it to the old way.

My friend. P&L is a total horror. It has been in for 1 month at my place and i have never worked like this before. Walks nearly doubled. We are simply not prepared TO ACCEPT THIS AMOUNT OF WORK. No one is starting early and it is falling. All van shares are failing. There would be no time to be gained at all by doing then so they are not getting done, not even on a light day. Saturdays are finished for us now. 2.40 finish. It is hell. It is costing them so much money in agency staff, in fact i learn it is costing them 3 times what they wanted to save by this revision. We are battling on and we will win. they cannot swallow the cost for much longer.
