Processing offer status?
Hi, I recently went for an interview at royal mail in sheffield( 3 weeks ago) and at the interview it wasnt really an interview, the guy there just took all of my documents ( passport, NI, driving liscence etc..) and my bank details. This took maybe 20 mins if that. After he took my bank details that was it, i was lead to the exit and thanked for my time. Anyway I have been checking my application everyday via the Royal Mail careers site (log into my application) and the status changed from "checks pending" to "processing offer". There are also links to pages titled "what happens next", which is brief and doesnt offer an explination. Does this mean they are making me an offer of employment or am I still in limbo? If anyone could shed some light i would be very grateful. Thanks

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Processing offer status?
Ive just checked again this morning and now the status has changed to "PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS DS". Its been over 5 weeks since my document checking session. Ive emailed angard several times only to recieve a standard automated reply everytime telling me to check my application via the royal mail careers website. does anyone at all know the time scale on applications or why its taking so long.
