Little knowlege of the basic facts, a continuing attempt at a "Straw man" argument...ah well, there's always the ever-reliable comeback of "you're a troll" when all else fails.

iLSMs are on trial in Swindon MC doing only the Canceller function. The CFCs still do the Culling and Facing - these functions can't be done on an iLSM without some major rebuilding work, not least to install a drum on them. If that happens they'd be iIMPs then surely? The impressions this week beat the pants off the CFC marks.

Swindon went from IMPs to CFC/MTT/LSMs to CFC/iLSMs - on that basis CFCs are the way of the future and IMPs on the way out?

It would not surprise me if Solystic makes culler and facing modules. Some of the CFCs round the country must be getting towards being life expired

Toshiba and RM gave them an expected life-span of five years, and that was back in the early 1990s. Only ever supposed to be a stop-gap, so it says a lot for Toshiba's build quality that they're still going 15 or so years longer than planned.

Good to hear - but frankly (pardon the pun) it wouldn't have been hard to get an improvement! :Very Happy

at dorset mail centre we are running the letters through the ilsms with the stamp cancelling update put on and we are experiencing a lot of missed and uncancelled letters.so much for progress and it is being put through a hand cancelling machine just to protect revenue

another flawed innovation from royal mail

We have discussed the lessons learned and agreed that the most recent review concluded at the Essex RDC and VOC was a good example of how both Royal Mail and the CWU have worked together and built in lessons learned after such reviews. Against that backdrop and the lessons learnt a quick but not exhaustive check list of data to gather is as follows:
This Essex closure was mentioned at one of our meetings.

The point being made was if we want to learn more about the process of closures then we should find out more about how this office was closed so if I wanted to find more information regarding how this closure was done where should I look?

Does anyone have any pointers that could help me?

Thanks.
