Odd letter recieved today
Ok so I recieved an envelope today with no stamp on and nothing inside! - the envelope hadnt even been sealed....but it looks as tho it had gone thro the sorting office as it had a mark on it (like an orange line) which looked like it had made it thro royal mail...but how would that get posted?! very odd.

Re: Odd letter recieved today
Presumably got an address and postcode on to get to your frame , so the item inside has fallen out and the stamp has fallen off , but should have been surcharged earlier. Could be a plant so hand it to the phg to surcharge it. The contents may be found in the office. Anyone else solve this mystery?
Why are lino's paid full-time ??

Re: Odd letter recieved today
If it was open, empty and had no stamp on it chances are it was never meant to be posted.
It may have been stuck to the back of something that was meant to be posted.
If it was a printed address it is just a screw up by whoever sent it out.
If it's hand written somebody decided not to send Uncle Frank a birthday card after all.

Re: Odd letter recieved today
Have you recieved an identical envelope from a company, but with your address and postage mark on?I have seen mail come through the mech before with another envelope stuck to it,but blank, processing error at mailing house i expect. It could have been stuck to the letter for you,and the IMP/iLSM could of printed the barcode on the blank envelope(would explain the orange barcode on the blank one!).
same as it ever was...

Orange bar code dots confirm through the Royal Mail system.
Probably automatically sorted through to the delivery postman who, intentionally or not, didn't bother to get it surcharged.
I see this happen about once a month.

Agree,if it was sequenced then the only info the css would look for would be the codemarks,so quite possible.Lounge Lizard wrote:Orange bar code dots confirm through the Royal Mail system.

No I don't think they are a troll, perhaps a vocal supporter of orthographic reform but not a troll.
