Is it too soon to add the Wolvies to Stormproof's list?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Wolverhampton to Go 100% Full time
Hey i would never say this revision stuff is great or good it just baffles me that from office to office the rules change, they put revisions in on stuff that would make anyone bulk then turn around and tell other offices you have not followed the rules,we are very lucky that we have got away this time believe you me we did everything to make sure we didn't just allow anything to be put in but we now face the problem of the next revision in which they chuck network collections in with it so please don't think for one minute that i would knock anyone but as i have read through some of this stuff on site some offices have just taken the money,we are the next office that will have to get the best for all because they shut our mail center next and some of our staff don't want to travel 40-50 miles twice a day to get to and fro so please don't think i was knocking anyone for the best.labbloke wrote:Hi Bandit, the thrust of this thread isnt to say how great it all is, in fact everyone at Wolvo would have liked to stay as they were, but they had to change and sought the best for themselves out of it.bandit650 wrote:We did everything with our revision you could not have been part time even if you wanted to,we didn't even have anyone for sorting in the DO because we had not got the scope so we put 4 day week duty's in to get that bit sorted out,we only managed to save 120 hours which were pkt/firms duty's who also did 2nd bag drops and ours still got kicked out, used all the agreements in place, this site has been great but you know what i would still not have wanted to be in the position that 52 offices are in this country, failing walks, peoples mail not being delivered,so tired and worn and being treated like it's all our fault,so if this office has got a deal then great but what have they sold to the devil to get it.

Regarding the closure of your MC and subsequent transfers, methinks one or two of your members may well be rubbing their hands together in anticipation of a very large cheque.
100 miles a day times 5 days times 5years times 40p per mile could be as much as £45000

Unfortunately the BTA states...labbloke wrote:

The total amount reimbursed over the five year period would be subject to a £20,000 limit.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: Wolverhampton to Go 100% Full time
Stafford's only about 20 mile away and our revision has gone tits up.
The first 2 phases (rurals) went in and there's whole walks being bought back, it was so b ad our Rep said enough's enough and he stuck a disagreement in and said that we were not doing anything else until that's been sorted. So now the town walks are on hold, good news is that we had the £600 up front thanks to a local agreement done by him and the Area Rep.

The revisions are working, there are no failures reported, there's 1000 of them
Is there any hope at all for BT2010? When is anyone going to hold up their hands and actually say "We got it wrong" - certainly not the architects of the scheme - but certainly the CWU should admit they embraced what has turned out to be a flawed strategy.
