yes i believe it is and you can bet that even after negotiation with royal mail our terms are not going to be as good in terms of redundancy.

It was due to be reviewed in September 2012 but Royal Mail agreed to start it early and i believe it is already being discussed in the general talks over the future of the business.
Royal Mail's position 3 months ago was that they could no longer afford MTSF as it stood.
Whether that was true/has changed/will change is anybody's guess.

I thought the MTSF agreement had been extented until the end of Business and transformation was complete?

You're right.

The only parts of MTSF that were time-limited to March 2013 were the enhanced VR terms for 55+ and the enhanced excess travel terms (for five years not three).

However, CWU and RM agreed back in February that the time limit would be removed and the terms would continue.

MTSF is one of the issues due to be discussed as part of the "wide-ranging" discussions on BT2010 and RM's business plan.

Not heard anything yet though!

I understand we have now an agreement on world class mails and MTSF and job security. More talks on the extension of the agreement and colleague share . It will be going to a policy forum of the CWU after conference.

Does anyone know if the redundancy terms for the under 55s will remain the same in the new agreement for next year or is there rumours otherwise.
