"I have worked for Royal Mail for many years and before "downstream access" was introduced (where private firms like TNT can introduce mail into the final delivery mile at a cost that did not cover RM costs) I used to deliver the first delivery by no later then 09:3o in the morning and customers used to get a second delivery. The public will regret this privatization. Name me any service, apart from phones, were the service has got cheaper and the quality improved which has left public hands. Trains, I used to be able to get on any train in off peak hours for the same price, every day. Gas and Electric, remember how cheap that was along with water. Every thing the Tories have privatised has seen the service get worse and the costs to the customer rise. Notice how stamps have been allowed to rise. This is not to aid RM, they could have done that years ago. But the aim is to make it more profitable to sell off. I bet Cristina Odone has never done a proper day's work in her life and certainly never had to walk around for 3 hours a day with 16 kgs on her back. A postman's basic wage is terrible and why they (delivery postman)get up five days a week at the time they do for that wage is beyond me."

So the other week we had the Daily Mail attacking us from all fronts and this week it appears to be the Daily Telegraph's turn. I notice, though, that the DT doesn't have a footnote saying their owners (The Barclay Brothers) also own the Home Delivery Network (HDNL). :shhhhh
The machine stops.

It's patently obvious she has no idea about the subject. All she knows is how to wind people up and she will be paid hansomely to do it. She is no doubt the type that gets off on smelling her own farts, convinced it smells as sweet as freshly mown grass.

I generally find cantakorous hags are not worth the effort. :no no

The middle class in this country are getting away with too much. They need to be checked, and checked quickly. :cuppa

Nice one Mrs Cristina Odious!!! We can chip away even further at a British company that employs British people providing a good service in tough times.I hope You are not dissapointed with this foreign competitor.
I have also learnt in life that the people who claim others are lazy usually say so because they are lazy themselves!!!
You are at the least very unpatriotic and Your claims are utter drivel!!!

I've often popped in to the news agents for a copy of the Torygraph and purchased a VIZ in error , only realising my mistake when attempting the crossword :cry

Sadly not the article about Posties, we are, after all, not the only one she's pissed off.
