Not wanting to be controversial, but how does that make us better off. A selfish attitude i know but if not kicking a manager got me better terms and conditions ,i think i could restrain myself

royal mails strategy is to run the business down by any means they can, without parliament and joe public realising,in collusion with postcomm they intend to win the hearts and minds of everyone ie the service gets so bad that privatisation will improve it.

I have been a postie for 24 years and every dispute we have been involved in the managers have crossed our picket lines and done our work.What goes round comes round, if the CMA has the balls to go out on strike which i doubt very much anyway, i for one will not lose much sleep crossing their picket line.

In truth what difference would it make? They wouldn't be missed! It's my experience that the further away they are from ops the better things work.

Our dum said this morning if the pension thing isn't sorted soon he would join us on the pickett line so they are veruy aware that they are being targetted too

I expect the top management would welcome a lower level managers strike. They know they don't need them all and would have a management cull when they found out which offices could run smoothly without them. After all, getting rid of superfluous managers could save a lot more money than messing around with duty times etc and would help with the pension fund problem
