No, it goes against the SDD Agreement.

My God you ARE a manager (or maybe a wannabe) spouting off 'if you don't like it leave' statement. I would leave but I think it would give RM what they want so they are gonna have to sack me.

I can't understand why some area's are working to 2pm on saturday's. Even in the rejected final offer it states'' Saturday's will keep shorter if operationally possible.

You've just answered your own question there. "if operationally possible" That's a very vague statement and can mean anything. The new duty times in our office do have Saturday down as a shorter day, a whole half hour shorter :d'oh! With first letter being around 10am ish. Most people are used to finishing at that time on a Saturday, not starting! No doubt we'll be expected to take all the mail on a Saturday too once the new start times have come into force, including mailsort.

This is where, if the Union are not awake and go through agreements with a fine tooth comb, that Royal Mail can use an agreement to stuff us royally. In law even 1 minute less is a shorter working day and I would mortgage my house that RML would use that if they needed to.

They use the word 'significantly' as far as I recall Teebs.

Its good to see people have started to look at the wording detail. take for instance the £12 night /A. everyone is convinced we are now going to keep it but if you look at the wording it states, only once everything has been successfully implemented. What a field day RM could have with that one

a lady customer said to me this morning 'nice to see you reasonably early today'. i said make the most of it as it will be a couple of hours later in the near future. she said ' oh well, but could i still deliver early to her on fridays as she has cheques to bank..... about half hour later another lady said ' good to see there's no more strikes' i said don't hold you're breath they'll probably be more soon. i told her briefly what some of the issues are, pensions. etc and she said ' still. as long as it doesn't affect you' by the time i said it does affect me i'm a postman the door was closed. so much for public sympathy or awareness of whats going on

in our office the new times are 6-2 mon-sat...

this is the thing that is really pissing everybody off.and going to force people to leave..

surely this is the reason we have been striking or part of it...i couldnt give a f**k about some shitty 2.5 % payrise...

i couldnt give a s**t if i didnt get a pay rise at all..its not about that for me...its about getting f****d over at every aspect of youre job...the fact that this company wants you to leave ansd are doing everything they can to force you out of the door is beyond belief....

nobody wants late starts and yet royal mail, are pushing it through..why are the top brass so determined to see this company go to the wall.

RM don't do any form of criticism . This is one wannabe team leader ,exactly what RM is looking for !-all the necessary attributes and qualities ,everything has a price and this one can certainly be bought and will soak up RM's propaganda like a sponge , AL does like to keep things simple or pretend to !. There's certainly the chip on the shoulder that RM require ?along with the belligerence 'the sniffiness and sulks ;the classic loudmouth bully . Unfortunately you do get these types 1 The Tory -quite happy to leech off the union and all the things the union has got for them but perversely think RM should turn itself into the Tory/corporate utopia they desire . As for the cheap shot why don't you leave ?-why don't they leave ? -never fails to make me laugh, that type . 2 The 30% -basically nothing else better to do in their sad little lives but to wind up & antagonise people , never left the playground , everything negative , within a very narrow box , totally institutionalized - Definitely RM mgt material-easy to command & control by a middle mgt puppet-master . As for crying off to Tribunals etc ,best remedy is a ET ,give THEM something to sulk & cry about ,only language this sort understands .
