you really dont like the managers then?5plusbonusball wrote:The big survey will have to be done by everyone in wtll this month. They say don't get personal and slag off your managers but answer about the company as a whole.
If everyone moans and tells them how bad it is , especially with too many mangers, they just might listen?
So take the time and fill it in , it's our last chance . Oh and i'll still be slagging my many doms off!

Yeah thats pretty much what i thought would be the case. I jus don't follow the ipod thing. maybe i thought signing to say youd seen such and such was mandatory and so didnt need an ipod sweetner.cyrus wrote:
Of course the didn't say that "if you sign this and say no bullying happens you have a chance of winning an i pod. They came out and spoke about bullying and stated that if you signed you have attended you have the chance of winning an ipod.Heard from the union man that the reason that they were doing this is, so they had a bit of paper to wave to the media "look no bullying happens in RM"He was trying to tell them that it wasn't an office only issue as bullying came from the top, and that he had saw manager's being bullied themselves ...Me thinks their trying to the same thing with the "BIG SURVEY"...I won't be filling it in and I'll just be giving to a charity of choice myself

I've done both i.e filled them in and not filled them in. But when I became a rep, I asked for the results of the survey for our area , plus our office, and placed them on the notice board, and came up with an action plan with the DOM. This seemed work work quite well, it meant members could see the results and what managers were supposed to be doing to make the office a better place to work in.

That's great if you get some feedback from them , we only once had such feedback after 15 years of doing them and that's because we were getting too personal about our current managers failings and not saying much about the company as a whole so we had to redo them - needless to say there was no feedback from that onetrythat wrote:I've done both i.e filled them in and not filled them in. Fill it in and be honest, but DON'T give it to your dom - post it yourself in the pre-addressed envelope - it might just reach it's destination then ! Believe me they don't always otherwise.

Couple of questions:
Have your say - is completion of them voluntary or mandatory? If voluntary why then are we required now to complete them at work after all they have to be completed sometime between the 10th and 30th April 2012. So why can't we take them home to give due consideration and not be put under any duress by management within any certain timescale. Again why are we being told to hand them back in to management upon completion instead of popping them in a letterbox (i smell a rat). Could it be because 20% of management bonuses are now to be linked to the have your say survey.
More importantly what is the CWU's position on this.

I took mine home brother.
They were not best pleased.
I was not particularly bothered.
They came in a pre-paid.pre-addressed envelope.
Unless i'm an idiot that means they were designed to be taken home.

What's a HYS, haven't seen those for a couple of years (not since most of the office stopped filling them in), don't expect to see them and even if they are given out then it'll be brought home and shredded

same here they wanted them done in a wtl so they could send them special delivery. most of the sheep did them but i wanted it to be confidential and not to have a dep dom standing over me watching me fill it out. he wouldnt let me leave until it was completed lol so bunged it in the envelope blank and threw it to him. but feel the need to contact moya now and let her know how balanced a view shes gonna get lol as if she gives a s**t.

There are always some spare so I bet they get read , put in a new envelope and the bad ones shredded before they get sent back, stinks, should be able to post them ourselves , after all it's live mail and shouldn't be tampered with.

I belive the plan is 10 min session from the big screen then 20 mins for the survey thus fully utilisng the 30 min WTL. I dont have WTLL any more, had a session last week which was the first time in a year.

I belive the CWU issued a LTB which mentioned this survey, whether it was stand alone or contained info on other topics I can not recall.
