So presumably back to minimum wage!As someone who has frequently worked for Royal Mail at Christmas we would like to thank you for your continued commitment and loyalty to our company.
Christmas is an extremely important time for Royal Mail and so are the people who work for us. As you know last year we subcontracted the vital role of recruiting and paying people to a third party supplier resulting in problems, which we are keen to avoid in 2012. So with this in mind we have taken the decision that for Christmas 2012, we will recruit all our casual employees directly and pay them via Royal Mail payroll system.
ANNOUNCEMENT : ALL OF ROYAL MAIL'S EMPLOYMENT POLICIES (AGREEMENTS) AT A GLANCE (Updated 2021)... HERE
ANNOUNCEMENT : PLEASE BE AWARE WE ARE NOT ON FACEBOOK AT ALL!

We all knew Angard were'nt going to last after the Christmas and ongoing fiasco.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet

Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Yes!!! Just got home from work & I too have received the card. They have seen the light & common sense has won! Well let's hope so! In a minute, I will go on my RM webpage & follow the instructions, hopefully it will not be a problem!!! As long as 18,000 + people are not doing the same thing at same time! But as Verging has correctly pointed out, will those people on the higher rate of pay go back down to min wage? Which I believe will be £6.19 from October.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I have a feeling that this may tie in with the new rewards structure the business might be looking at.
Pay for performance is their key word....are you a leader or a laggard?

This year the Christmas casuals will be: no indication about current Angardees on the card but my contract with Angard expires before Christmas (sometime in November and they can always terminate early - RM can then take us on direct).casualnowwithangard wrote:If this is the end of Angard does that mean will we transfer back to Royal Mail?

Looking at it,it's not the end of Angard, just the end of the xmas thing, and again for possibly only this year.

Had a quick look at their website. Looks like another temp agency with go faster stripes, but 'talent management'? sounds like wedding karaoke planning and im suspicious of companys who use the word 'solutions' that many bloody times when describing what they do.
