The official inflation rate is 3.4 % after the Government and the banks fixed the figures so we have got an increase of 0.1% so yes I did get a pay rise although in real life I can buy less than last year. Happy Days.

so the strike was worth it then a customer was complaining they havent had a pay rise for 4 years 6.9% over three years. now what will happen next year i/a here we cme gain I think

My tax code was 0759L now its' 0822L therefore am i paying more tax?

No. It means you can now earn £8 220 BEFORE paying tax whereas it used to be £7 590.

Well my tax code is 61..............I can earn only 619 before I start paying tax, which is half what it was last year :sad: I wonder if it is worthwhile working!

My tax code also changed 823L/0, what does the /0 mean?

Sorry to be pedantic but it's actually gone from £7,595 to £8,225, that's £120 more than the official government personal tax allowance due to us getting a liitle extra for uniform cleaning. :cool

did you get any ESA when we had it - (Early Shift Allowance) - if not then yours won't be part pensionable so will be shown as 1 payment.
