Re: Fire drills
No fire alarm, so no fire alam test, no red fire safety folder, no rules on evacuation, no fire drills, no roll calls, no fire assembly point, no dedicated fire marshalls
but it is a very small office

only a tiny wee fire is possible obviously - about the size of a fag end perhaps

Would you have a whole list of fire procedures for the shed in your back garden ?

Re: Fire drills
The answer is no. But then my shed isn't choc full of specials and insured mail. I'd be betting there is a fire risk assessment in existence for your micro office and best practice might suggest it's available to those who work within. Since your office seems to be as big as a punch and judy show, it may be being stored off site to save space.Lounge Lizard wrote:AgreedBlue29 wrote:Lounge Lizard wrote:No fire alarm, so no fire alam test, no red fire safety folder, no rules on evacuation, no fire drills, no roll calls, no fire assembly point, no dedicated fire marshallsbut it is a very small office

Would you have a whole list of fire procedures for the shed in your back garden ?If the answer is 'no' then surely there's not much need for them in a Delivery Office that's not much bigger

Re: Fire drills
Maybe several specials and insured mail each morning but they're only there for a couple of hours, and I don't know of a fire risk assessment or any other assessment.Blue29 wrote:The answer is no. Re: Fire drills
asking the obvious
do any of your offices have a H&S REP
fire marshals
i would be contacting the branch to find out what the hell the ASR is playing at
what people fail to realise is the legal requirements of a fire action plan policy
whay are not the DOMs USING IT
i would get the office rep to warn the dom of the falings and request action within 14 days to get a policy together
if that fails put in a stage 1 disagreement
royal mail have a legal obligation for a fire policy under the H&S at work act 1974
