Friday is my day off and we work it, does this mean we get an extra day? as according to their website yes as I checked the Holidays for Scotland wtf Summer bank holiday we don't get it but get it in September but it's not there

If you're in Scotland...No...it's just a normal working day or day off in your case.
I checked the Holidays for Scotland wtf Summer bank holiday we don't get it but get it in September but it's not there
The late summer bank holiday varies depending on your area because it's substituted by local holidays.
If you think that's nuts our office takes it in August but our sister? office(that shares the same building) takes it in September.

I knew that so why have it on their website if we work it? With regards to September weekend is a Scottish holiday not an English one but RM are trying to get us to change it to meet there needs.

i much prefer the extra day at new year than a friday, its great in any other job but ours, long weekend for them but posties work sat :cry , mone the scots lol

I would like to see Easter Saturday and Last Saturday of August to be made holiday day with Royal Mail. There is no need for us to work on Saturday :(
