Holiday Pay

I got paid some more holiday pay from Angard today.
I get more holiday pay than I get working for them.

I got an additional £5.51 from them today aswell. I didn't request my holiday pay back in January, because I wanted them to pay me correctly first! However, when they paid me (I told them the dates & hours) they added the holiday pay to it. But true to form they decided to dock me one day (wages, not holiday pay), so I had to hassle them for that. So basically the £5.51 is holiday pay for a 7.5 hr day. I wonder if the P45 will arrive as it's the end of the tax year? I wont mention the "B" word, because I gave my 10p worth on that subject before!

At the end of tax year we should receive a P60 - the P45 is when you leave employment.

Slightly off topic but I want to claim my holiday pay. Angard have said to fill in the request form however I want to just have the money not the actual time off work. Any ideas as to how i would fill in said form?

To be fair it's a bit wank,fill it in and add a letter to be sure.

To be funny about thisas other people waiting still for thier normal pay I did not apply for it.

In your contract it does state you cannot have holiday pay paid for days you work. I would try sending in holiday pay request for days in a week for the day(s) I have not been called in - see if it works (i.e. send the request on the Friday for that week but only request for the days you did not work). I think they want request in advance of you taking the days off but not sure they would adhere to this anyway (or even realise).

Yes I know, but Angard being Angard ......! I finished at Christmas, so I am overdue for my P45. I assumed that as I got the additional £5.51, which as I said above is the outstanding holiday pay on the unpaid day's work that they docked me when they sorted out my pay mess, that as it's the end of the tax year, they are trying to "tidy up" any loose ends with people's pay problems. About bloody time! I wonder how many people are still waiting for their money? There is obviously not so much activity on this forum, so hopefully everybody has been paid. A few weeks ago I had yet another phone call from Angard checking to see that I had been paid!
On the subject of holiday pay, I didn't request it or fill in a form for it, but still got paid it.

Cheers for the reply. I wasn't aware of that being in the contract, I was assuming they could just clear the lot like they did at the end of January. Your suggestion in theory sounds good but I work a 40 hour week and am in Mon-Fri. Unless I start claiming it for weekends. Anyone know the maximum amount of hours I can claim per day?

I think you would be entitled to 8 hours per day as that is the maximum in a day that can be used to accrue holidays.
