Some may accept a life of maybe not having any choice in the matter, not joining a Trades Union and not being able to strike but I would never consider accepting such a job.
As for the TA are allowed to join the union as they would be funding political parties which again they are not allowed to do, they like everyone else can opt out of the Political Levy.
