Although so far, everyone's been careful since the announcement. We were told not long ago, that even if we sign in on time. If we're late on the Shop Floor (e.g. needed to use the toilet) it's now classed as being late, and that they're going to "conduct" people who're late. The wierd thing is, though. That although it's not uncommon for people to be a little late, if there's holdups on the Motorway (most of us don't live locally). The same holdups delay the majority of people commuting on that Motorway, and the Radio is always on at Work, so the Managers must be aware of the reason for the delay.
In fact, one of the Managers is among the group who are affected. A few of us always get in very early, and hang around in the Canteen, or Smoking Area, 'till the shift starts. But I can understand the position of those who don't. It's a long day, turning up half an hour - 45 minutes early every day, just in case some fool crashes on the Motorway.It does seem to me, that it's an attempt to find an excuse to get rid of people on the cheap. Particularly considering what's happening to wiser112.
Still, only time will tell, if Management carry out their threat to start conducting people here too.
