0 Offers of casual work, in 3 months!

Post by Talie »

Hello,

Over Christmas I was working as a casual, and it's hard to believe after all the mess Angard caused I re-applied to work with them again.

I applied round about the 29th of December, just as the Christmas Job was coming to a end. The online application was pretty quick, I was automatically hired within a few days and didn't need an interview. After a month passed from getting hired and I had 0 offers of work. I contacted Angard and they dismissed me pretty quickly.
2 months in and I received my P45! I contacted them and they said that they were clearing out all the people from their books from Christmas. I explained that I was re-hired and the person told me that was why I had probably hadn't been offered any work, because they must of took me off their books. So I was advised to send them back my P45, which I did..
3 months in and I've still been offered no work.

What is going on!
Is anyone else having this trouble?

I dont have any problems getting work from Angard at Dorset MC .
The only thing is , is that I get a call from them 1/2 hour before the shift starts when it takes me 1 hour and 15 mins to get there :evil/mad

I didn't get anything directly from Angard. I used to work for RM as a full time postman and I contacted my managers. I got all the shift from my managers, not from angard.

Yes I've had that problem and sometimes had other commitments, they've said "can you start right away" (at DMC) a couple of times.
Someone at the depot suggested I should ring them in the morning as he has been booked in early that way (pretty sure by Angard rather than the local managers). Ive had other work and family business lately but Im now looking for more shifts as the temporary job I was promised turned out to be "casual" as well

Ive heard through the grapevine that there are Manpower staff there ATM :confused

There are at least 2 other Agencies with staff there to cover the Easter Holidays.
