hi all
yet another newbie to the site and was just wondering if anyone could shed any light onto something for me....been offered a 6 month fixed term contract of 30 hrs a week working as a specialist service secure network relay driver.....was just wondering if its royal mail standard practice to offer such short contracts intially for this role and if it is, if i keep my head down do they generally extend them for longer periods or even offer a permanent contract after this....all replies much appreciated
many thanks

To be honest there aren't many relay drivers in Royal Mail so not a lot will know what to tell you. However, welcome.

the induction day i found interesting although it was mainly aimed at the delivery posties, rest assured there are plenty of worse jobs out there than being a relay driver
