Election of 20 Area Reps and Deputy Area Reps

Post by POSTMAN »

TO: ALL BRANCHES WITH POSTAL MEMBERS

Dear Colleague

Election of:-

20 POL Area Representatives
20 POL Deputy Area Representatives
Nominations are invited for the positions of; 20 POL Area Representatives and 20 POL Deputy Area Representatives in the new Crown Sales and Customer Service Manager (CSCSM) areas (formerly known as CAM areas). The term of office for these positions is two years the successful candidates will take up office from Monday, 2nd April 2012.
Please note that whilst maintaining 20 management areas, POL have recently changed some of the area boundaries and, at the same time, ceased the title of CAM and replaced it with CSCSM. The Crown Offices in each of the revised areas (as appropriate) for the 20 Area and 20 Deputy Area Representatives are associated with this LTB.

Nomination forms are attached to this LTB, or are available on request from the Senior Deputy General Secretary Department. All Candidates must have the nomination of their own branch and completed nomination forms, which must be signed by the Branch Secretary and Branch Chair (or accredited deputies) and the nominee.

The timetable for the elections is as follows:

Nominations open: 28 February 2012
Nominations close: 12 March 2012 (14.00)
Despatch ballot papers: 19 March 2012
Ballot closes: 2 April 2012 (14.00)

Any ballots will be run in accordance with the CWU guidelines for POL Area Representatives, which are attached for your information.

Any enquiries regarding this LTB should be addressed to the Senior Deputy General Secretary’s Department on telephone number 0208 971 7237 or email address sdgs@cwu.org.

Yours sincerely
