Shouldn't the title read, Atos Harrassment process??? lmao
What I can't understand is this.... how can you be assessed fit for work when you've never been seen by Atos and even when you do, these admin peeps get to over ride your doctors many years of training and expertise. how is this right?? If thats the case, why even bother going to your doctor in future if you are sick?

that sort think they're being clever .....it's more like Concentration Camp Mentality Management - as long as it's not me that's in trouble ......very 90's & backward - RM hope people will be too ground down by the system to give them any problems outside the Post Office but there's always someone who will ...even with RM's expensive solicitors and barristers to defend the indefensibleBELIAL wrote:norbert wrote:" Radionics machines (1920s - 1960s):

Funny how he managed to stage everyone with an industrial injury and claim managers discretion was nowt to do with him.All my best wishes for your most deserved retirement, just don't get sick

well done for standing up to them ...there's a lot that they hope won't give them any problems as they're simply not up to it , emotionally and mentally .........the methods ATOS Origin use are exactly the same as the outlawed UNUM Provident in the states .........the WCA is " remarkably similar " to the UNUM Provident MDA ....over the pond they now have real world tests which Goebbels Grayling is vehemnetly against .TeeferTiger wrote:I've got my ESA appeal tribunal this afternoon
It's a form of pretend parasitical capitalism using the State's Tax Payers as a cash cow .......no real red in tooth and claw , entreprenerial , risk taking and innovative business would last five minutes if they were losing 40 % of appeals , 70 - 80 % with advocacy , some advocates in West Scotland and certain CAB advocates win 90 % based purely on case law and evidence .
A legalised scam for crooked businessmen and politicians ...ATOS Origin are paid £100 m pa for " non medical " " assessments " using US medical insurance / insurance industry criteria and illegal methods - the appeals bill is report-ably up to £80m

Re: Have you been a victim of the Atos assessment process
Good Luck April
Can I just put another side to the whole ATOS thing.
As a postie. I had several telephone consultations, the final one saying no walking until after I had seen the specialist. Which led to an indoor duty for about a year. Which was fine, I still struggled doing the locker due to the amount of bending it involved but I managed it.
After the Christmas period was over, I was referred back and IHR was offered. Doctor I seen was professional and curteous. Left in March.
DWP then said I should apply for Industrial Injuries. Got knocked back for that. Not injured bad enough. Doc was professional and curteous.
Medical for ESA - Expected dire results having read all the horror stories on the net. Got the same doc as i had before. Again, he was great, didn't ask me to do anything I was unable to do. I was then placed in WRAG group.
Now I thought that meant that I would only get ESA for a year, even if my condition deteriorates, but it seems it's not, as long as you have an underlying entitlement to Income Based ESA, it will continue following the medical the following year. It doesn't mean you HAVE to go back to work. It's just them letting you know what help is available to help you get back to work.
So, other than ATOS getting my name wrong
the whole thing hasn't been too bad from my side of things.
Guess I just wanted to show others the positive side to things, rather than just the horror stories about ATOS. I know I was absolutely dreading going because of what I had read online about them.
I don't doubt that I am in a minority and people have been shafting by them, just trying to show the opposite side of the coin :)

Re: Have you been a victim of the Atos assessment process
I won. They gave me 9 additional points based on mobility, but they didn't ask many questions and I didn't get chance to correct the mistakes in the original assessment, so I think I could probably have gotten more points.
Anyway, that stops the DWP harassing me for the time being. I've got my DLA appeal to look forward to now... about another 6 month wait for that one though!

Re: Have you been a victim of the Atos assessment process
ATOS for RM were great... ATOS for DWP not so good!
Like I've said before, ATOS for RM told me on the Monday I wasn't fit for work (I didn't have to say anything!) and yet 2 days later ATOS for DWP told me I was. Now it's been agreed that I'm not! I dunno whether I'll be in the Support or Work group though. I'd like to work, but there's not much work I CAN do, and the work that I might be able to do, has umpteen other able bodied people applying for it too, so why would they employ me?!

" Sarah Newton conservative MP for Truro in Cornwall is asking to be told about people's experiences with the French I.T. company ATOS at review boards, assessments,by post or any aspect of their dealings with the corporate company.TeeferTiger wrote:ATOS for RM were great... This is crucially important as she states that the reputation of ATOS is driven solely by a few politically motivated people and is undeserved. Please help if you can by providing your experience. ATOS was also employed by Labour ,so political motivation is not a relevant argument.
It is vital we get recorded evidence to the politicians on paper or email in an avalanche,a veritable tsunami of proof so that they can't ignore it. as we know what the truth is! If not Sarah, then write to your own local MP asap! "
It's a case of who is calling whom politically motivated - UNUM Provident and ATOS groomed Governments to get policy made solely in their interests - a £80m appeals bill , damning media coverage & appalling figures all down to Political Activists

Great news Teefer, dunno why but I keep using your other name. Must just be associating it with your profile pic
Really pleased for you hon, I got knocked back for DLA within a week of applying, just let it go as I personally don't think I'm bad enough for it on a good day. And don't want to admit to myself I'm as bad as I am. Maybe in a few months time, I'll try again.
TBT I only wanted to reassure some people who may need to face ATOS that it might not be all doom and gloom. Cos when I read the stories, it scared the sh!t out of me and was dreading going. It's never pleasant, but definitely not as bad as I expected.

I applied for DLA, didn't appeal at the time but got badgered by a disabled friend and told I should appeal. I eventually did (they weren't happy about it) so I've got to wait for that tribunal too.
