So light it was embarassing I thought someone had already bagged half my round up and taken it before i got there.

Well after the revision I have been put on a HCT duty this week that is ridiculously long, pegasus, I would say more like Mr ED, it needs its wings clipped as its s**t ! I had 30 recorded deliveries today FFS !!!! out at 10.30am finished at 2.30pm, dreading tomorrow.

By the way HCT does that stand for heavy crap trolley ?

Remember the golden rules of HCT delivery...
If the HCT goes out of line of sight it must be locked to an ammoveable object
If mail is left in the HCT, it can only be locked up for so long (2/5/10 minutes) before you must have it back in sight, depending upong the risk assessment of your area
You should not be loading your pouch with big loops, only the Specials (maximum 3 "high value", total not exceeding 8), weight is off the shoulder (exception for carrying packets for block of flats)
Do not lock up the trolley and go off delivering a whole road or two, push it round everywhere and lock up where necessary

You will soon learn what is achievable in your time left for delivery and then judge if you want it or you want to finish at your contract end time, but don't fudge things to save the depot money, you only have a set amount of hours to fill and why risk a disciplinary for the managers who will be out to get you if things go wrong.

I do that, and it still is a bloody nightmare, the duty was a nightmare before the revisions, now they added four big streets to it. Also have you tried pushing those things on cobbled streets, I can still feel the vibration now

No it is not a joke it is proper procedure don't follow it and you could find yourself out of a job

learned a lesson today: don't go in half an hour before start time to help out (on p&l); all you end up doing is the stuff that should have been done before you come in, so your p&l partner bundles up earlier than you and then moans that you're taking too long.

i'll be in at my proper 9:30 start tomorrow, so he can finish prepping my frame before bundling up his, as he's meant to do (i'm supposed to come in, bundle up and get going)…

i wouldn't have minded, but instead of helping out so we got out quicker, he just prepped his own frame with tomorrows d2ds while moaning at me to hurry up

then had to cheek to moan again later in the day, when we were late finishing. he moaned about being on unpaid overtime, to which i remarked that i'd already done half an hour of that

Its was a Tuesday FFS, Im usually finished for 1.00 pm on a Tuesday. Tuesday is a light mail day, and it still took 4 hours to do. Today (the heaviest day in our office) was a Fu**kin nightmare ! I did not get out until 1.00pm and I cut off at 3.00pm and I only did half the frame (the lightest part of the duty).

Its was a Tuesday FFS, Im usually finished for 1.00 pm on a Tuesday. Tuesday is a light mail day, and it still took 4 hours to do. Today (the heaviest day in our office) was a Fu**kin nightmare ! I did not get out until 1.00pm and I cut off at 3.00pm and I only did half the frame (the lightest part of the duty).

OMFG Sliders, that sounds unreal, latest I ever escaped the asylum was 1130ish!

Did your two hours leaving at 1300 include having some meal relief to take?

ONE O'CLOCK, blimey Going out at 10-30 seems a travesty to this so called 'service' we provide. Anyway, today: heavy, heavy, heavy

Another day of judging how much of my duty could not be done within hours, lino did not help themsleves by not addressing why the minimum daily D2D quota thrown in was greatly exceeded once again, while I arrived to a frame littered with mail that needed to be thrown in (so I have to leave even more behind). Cut things rather fine though, only just got rid of my failed mail before home time, the call rate was definitely higher than 80%.
