Is It Time To Get Our Local MP lnvolved?

Post by wottodo »

We rant and rave, angard still don`t care and the malaise has now spread to the foot soldier on the phone, an hour ago l spoke to someone on 08454607318 (the number left on my answerphone no longer works) my reason for calling was to know the address to send my ET1 (since l can`t make headway with all my phone calls, since l`ve been treated like an idiot, might as well act as one) cue on target she put me on hold to find the number and gave me the address below

27A High Street
Andover
Hampshire
SP10 1LJ

Knowing you cannot trust anything from angard representative, quick search on Bing (don`t use google anymore since they decided to hold my information whether l like it or not) anyway l digress, the address indicates ( ;liar 24Hr Electrician - Electrical Contractors And Electricians in Salisbury SP10 1LJ)

So l rang back, luckiily enough, the office was still open and spoke to a guy and said `Can you confirm your postal address please? as l`m filling the ET1 FORM and l need to know where to send it, on cue he starts to trot out the bogus one l was given earlier, stopped him on track and inform him of the fools errand by his collegeague, knowing they can always denied speaking to me, l ask for his name, he responded by giving his first name, l again ask for his full name, he said there is no need for his full name (same thing the woman that gave me the bogus address said, until l insisted) l inform him that l can and will if necessary summon up the call log and if he want`s to go that route fine and let him know the conversation will know be recorded for my record, after a long search he told me the address is.

Angard
1st Floor
Charles House
61-69 Derngate
Northampton
NN1 1UE

Now time for our MP to get involved and use the parliamentary priviledge to ask `How Royal Mail (still own by the taxpayer) and the subsidiary Angard (of which 2 directors still works for the Royal Mail can mess up our lives or are they just concern about tabloid stories, aka Ryan Giggs?

PS. Will be emailing Lib Dem MP John Hemming for his view on the treatment of 18000 casual workers by angard.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Don't hold your breath, I involved my local MP before Xmas, and despite him being a Limp Dem, he has failed to get a response from the Postal Services Minister. The only response I have received so far runs along the same lines as the press releases by Royal Mail Group, that the Angard issue has affected a small minority of employees, and that this problem has been sorted out. My angle on contacting the MP was alongside the ET1 action I initiated, and requesting to know how a governmental organisation like Royal Mail could be operating an agency which was clearly failing in its legal duty to pay its employees for their work.
To date no credible answer that satisfies my question has been received. My pay situation has been resolved at the end of January, and the ET1 action has been stopped, however my last 2 pay days have been short on hours, and I have notified Angard by email of this shortfall. 5 days after emailing them I have yet to receive a response from the payroll team, I guess old habits die hard! Maybe its time to dust off the ET1 form again.
