brighton revisions
Brighton has one quarter of the delivery office working the new revision. it's not been working at all!!!
1.prep frames are all wrong and mixed up. i.e. flats mixed up, addresses missing, doubled up single slots for big firms (which had 2-3 slots each before). if you had one and half prep frames together. now put together into one to save time and safety.
2.more sorting.
3. less prep time, no time for d2d prep unless you come in early or stay after your finishing time.
4. meal relief is nice to have, but it eats into your prep time and getting out of the office on time (supposed to leave by 10am to walk out, not leaving till 1030-1040am each day. then have to cut off to start walking back 145pm to get back for 2pm for 215pm finish.
5. when i did a new frame change after first day, told be done within a few days by planners. been two weeks and told be a few more weeks as planners are too busy.
6. car shares are worse. i.e. the loops are all wrong and the driver has the only key and pda. which leave the other postman waiting around for driver to finish his tracks, specials and parcels. they then cut off most of the drivers work to get back in time as the walking postman refusers to do extra work for the driver.
can't wait for the next quarter of the office to start next week. they can't even sort out the first lot first and iron out the mistakes. twats

Re: brighton revisions
We are due to start our revision on monday. Me and a driver p&l thing is we haven't had our one to one with planners. I haven't had pda training or lwt training. The whole place is going to be in a uproar. I'm only doing my contracted hours and I'm going to sit back and watch the s**t hit the fan.papa wrote:Brighton has one quarter of the delivery office working the new revision. it's not been working at all!!!

What planet are you on ffs, YOU dont have to worry about it, you are not paid enough to worry about it. Just start on time ,work your eight hours, and whats that crap about not having time for d2d, of course you have, what is your problem ??? As for not taking a meal relief......well just dont get me started on that one.papa wrote:Brighton has one quarter of the delivery office working the new revision. it's not been working at all!!!

Ok. Some advice from a seasoned Park & Looper for Brighton.Do not come in early.Do 20 percent of households per day over 5 days.Use trollies.Do not doorstep.Return to office at finishing time.Lastly meal reliefs do not clash with prep times. They are a separate portion of Your working day for You to use ....See You take it!!!

Yes I see all the chattering, new understanding, full involvement, consultation and managers being told to stick to the agreement is paying dividends
Really where is the union when it comes to local assistance and making sure the letter of the agreement is understood by everyone involved..............not time for meal reliefs or prepping D2D????????????? Is it any wonder these revisions don't work.

Re: brighton revisions
No time for Door to Door? This is now classed as mail, and as such has to be preped on a daily basis,of 20o/o per day of your walk.If at the end of their calculations you actually dont have enough time tell your line manager you cannot complete and leave that in the frame for them, work your time have your meal break and GO HOME! Simples.

I have been on P/L for a year near to your office in Brighton
1/ Come in on time, NOT EARLY
2 / Do 20% D2D'S everyday DURING WORKTIME
3/ Meal relief TAKE IT EVERYDAY
4/ use L/W trolley EVERYDAY
5/ Work till your time and cut off DONT RUN, OR CUT CORNERS AND DONT WORK PAST YOUR TIME UNPAID
meaning stressfree postal deliveries and just do your job by the book, leave the stress to management

6/ Make your manager work for a living,if you can't/don't want to work over force your manager to make the decision on what to do,either leaving the work behind or bringing it back, make sure that decision is witnessed preferably by a rep.eastie wrote:I have been on P/L for a year near to your office in Brighton

7/ If you do work over always book it even if it's only 5 minutes,it's the only way to get an accurate picture of how achievable the duties are.
They will try to quote the IWT,Pegasus,Performance standards and what other people can do in an attempt to pressure you into achieving the impossible...try to ignore it,it really is meaningless garbage.
If you feel as if you are being unduly pressured speak to your rep...it's what they are there for.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: brighton revisions
From what i read it seems the posters choice to prep DTD in thier own time and not to take breaks to get out on time, the time for DTD is there as are planned times to take meal reliefs, the poster could choose to cut off but he/she decides to do what alot of our members do and hide the truth not giving the rep the ammunition to get the duty fixedmaisymoo04 wrote:all i can say,who the f@@ ever done your planning is a load ov crap(and its in)and your rep.what planet our you on why did your rep agree to a load ov rubbish.did anyone sit down with the posties to sort walks etc.we have had the methods in now for 1 year,we sat down argued swore cryed.and guess what its worked.feel sorryfor offices who just say go on then sign that off.cum on folks get a grip or royal mail will bring everything in![]()

Re: brighton revisions
T he problem is in our office some duties can be done on most days by 2:30 but other duties are finishing 2 hours before this every day, some are stressed out, some are laughing so why can't they even the duties out. It's not those on seniority who have picked the best rounds but quite the opposite. The rounds were rushed and made wrong and only tested on a laptop. The doms don't want to know cos as far as they are concerned , everything is rosie and equal.
Why are lino's paid full-time ??

As stated, a fair & managable workload for all as stated in BT2010, but if this is not the case then you have to prove so, if you feel agrieved then put in a Grievance, people have got to learn to Grow a pair" NOT THE UNION WON'T DO THIS OR THAT"eastie wrote:I have been on P/L for a year near to your office in Brighton

Re: brighton revisions
I Have now some 12 parcels late - presumably STUCK in Brighton sorting office. All sent First class from 28th Feb - so now first class is taking 11 days and counting! I've been to the delivery office twice, numerous phone calls and the number for the manager in Brighton just keeps ringing! I'm thoroughly sick of this non-service. When will parcel deliveries get back on track?
