Usual rigmarole, everyone out the door prior to me arriving, driver hassling me for bags within 10 minutes, no 739s in the office. Absolutely beasted by packets, council mailouts and dsa cr*p, glad to be finished.

Its amazing, that sounds exactly like my office, I also bet the music in the DO is turned off around 10.15 - 10.30 am, a signal from the managers that you should be gone by now, and you and a handful of other P/T are left in a quite DO, feeling all lonely and stressed to get out asap. !! I would hazard a guess that all P/T workers (10.00 am starts) have this same similar experience. The only people to blame for this are the managers, who for some reason think it would be a good idea for part timers to start at 10.00 am instead of 9.00 am or earlier, saying that like I said, when you left by yourself in an empty quite DO, boxing in, you do go faster instinctively, which is why the managers do it I presume anyway.

p.s you are lucky the driver usually pi**es off around 10.00 am in my office without even asking for my bags, since I start at 10.00am. So either the managers drop them off, or if I cannot be bothered to wait for them, I drop off the first bag myself.

Scarily similar, even down to the radio thing.

I wonder if we are from the same office, or if this is typical throughout the whole of the Royal mails DO's :hmmmm

Probably the latter I think !

Another day of only doing ~75% of my walk, even though I was out on delivery before 1000, did the job properly and returned with minutes to spare.

Busy day with plenty of packets. It was quiet yesterday, (my day off) so I'm told. Overcast but very warm for this time of year.

Worst day Ive had for a while

Heavy as fu*k on a walk Ive never done before, first bag weighed 17kg and the first bundle took absolutely ages to get rid of so I was walking around with it for ages. Last bag was so heavy and full of packets I had to split it and dead walk...

On top of that every little thing that could have gone wrong went wrong today....finally finished at 3.45 with a sigh of relief.

To top it all off as soon as I finished my walk I realised I had stepped in some of the most potent smelling dog shite ever, so I spent a good half an hour or so scraping it off the bottom of my shoe with a little stick which is always good fun! :arrrghhh
